We are under contract! The house we are in the process of buying is actually in Midwest City - but still in Choctaw School District. The inspection was Wednesday, and it went great. So just a few more steps in the process to closing.
While Wednesday was an exciting time, it also turned out to be the worst day of my life to date. I am having a hard time facing the idea of moving away from my mom at this time in her life. There aren't words to explain how guilty it makes me feel to know that of all the times in my life, I am moving away now. This is a trying time in our lives, and I know that it will change us forever. There are going to be hard days, but I know that our strength and fight will determine the ways it changes us.

Mattie........no reason to feel guilty - this is life. No, I sure didn't choose to be diagnosed with cancer right before you were to move away for the first time in your life, but it happened. I'm SO happy for you guys and for your new life together - you're going to have so much fun and learn so much about each other and what you want for your lives together - it's all going to work out in the end. I'm going to fight this crappy cancer and beat it - I want to be around for you guys and my grandkids!!! I Love You, Mom
