It feels good to be home, finally! School starts on the 17th of August - not much longer! Because I have never lived anywhere but Stillwater, there are lots of things to get used to. The first and HARDEST of them all is: the Sooner fans. I feel like we moved into the land of Crimson. But it's ok - we are just going to incorporate more orange into our lives :)
Other things to get used to:
1. The airplanes - we live several miles from Tinker Air Force Base and boy do they send a lot of airplanes out and about. At times it seems like they are right in our backyard. Huey is the one who is still adjusting.
2. We live 2 miles from Sonic!!! That definitely won't be hard to get used to!
3. All sorts of new stores - Home Depot, Kohls, Target, Buy For Less, Michaels, lots of fun stuff!!
4. The distance from home. Homesickness sets in every few days, but hopefully when school starts, things will be busy with less time to think about home.
5. The yard - I guess more than anything I am thankful we have a yard! But that means watering, pulling weeds, mowing, weed eating, etc. etc. etc. Luckily, Charlie likes those things so I don't have to be too worried about it. Except when Charlie forgets to turn the sprinkler off - can't wait to see what our water bill is!
