The First PROJECT!

With school starting and my first paycheck not coming til September 25th, the house projects have been confined to lists. But a lovely Home Depot giftcard tucked away in my wallet earns all the credit for our very first project!!! (Sidenote: I LOVVVVE Home Depot - it's where I go to get my orange fix since all I see around here is Crimson the devil's color) Without further ado, here are some "before" pictures of the Guest Bathroom - our very first candidate for revamping.

I've already taken off the lightswitch covers and towel racks.

The bathroom's redeeming feature --- SKYLIGHT!!!!

Here are the plans for the bathroom:

1. EVERYTHING (well just the walls and ceiling) is getting a fresh coat of Kilz.
2. The green from the shower curtain is going on the walls.
3. Out with the brass and shiny silver - in with the brushed nickle (towel rod, toilet paper holder, knobs on the cabinets, shower curtain rod)
4. I WIIIISH I could replace that mirror with something smaller and that lighting with something from this decade - but I am afraid it would require a professional... maybe soon :)
5. New towels and rugs.

What do you think? Something I'm missing that is glaring???? I am hoping that accomplishing this project will get the ball rolling so that we can start budgeting every month for a new project!!!

And then there's the guttering - psssh, nobody looks back there - who needs gutters? I kid, I kid. Our yard has a ring around the house from water wear. I would say it's time...
